    The house looks… really weird next to those other houses. I see the solar panels on the neighboring roofs, so maybe their hearts are in the right place… but the house still looks like a rusted shipping container dropped into suburbia. Maybe that’s a good thing… ?

    Thanks for the comment Daniel. Design always spurs interesting conversation, especially design that pushes thought or emotion. One could easily argue the other houses look weird next to the SIPs house or next to the 80’s contemporary house adjacent. I would have to take a fairly strong stance however on labeling the site ’suburban’. There are no collector streets or traffic oriented development near the site. The neighborhood does not have a design standard to follow, typical lot size, or a number of other items typically associated in a suburban neighborhood.
